La pecora realizzata dal duo artistico TO/LET è l'immagine di bè bolognaestate 2014, il cartellone coordinato dal Comune di Bologna - Settore Sistema Culturale e Università con tanta musica, arte, cinema, teatro, incontri, spettacoli e molto altro per quattro mesi.
Hai dimenticato a casa il programma? Non hai consultato il sito? Non importa: in tutta Bologna, tutte le sere c'è intrattenimento culturale, quasi sempre a ingresso gratuito.
Molti eventi che proponiamo per il mese di giugno fanno parte di bè bolognaestate 2014 e sono solo alcuni del ricco cartellone.
BE' BOLOGNA ESTATE 2014 | SUMMER IS AROUND...

The sheep created by the artist duo TO/LET is the symbol of bè bolognaestate 2014, the summer programme of events coordinated by City of Bologna - Cultural System and University Department.
Concerts, art exhibitions, performances, movies, meetings, shows and much more are going to liven many attractive corners of the city up from June to September. Did you forget the programme at home? Didn't you visit the site? Don't worry: in Bologna there is entertainment every night and it's almost always free admission. Many of the events we suggest for June are part of the rich programme of bè bolognaestate 2014.
Piazza Maggiore regina dell'estate con il suo grande schermo e il programma proposto dalla Cineteca di Bologna per 50 serate di cinema.
Un cartellone che si va delineando, che inizia venerdì 20 giugno e prosegue fino al 14 agosto, tutte le sere alle ore 22.
Tra il 25 giugno e il 5 luglio ci sono le celebrazioni che la Cineteca promuove con l’Association Chaplin per il Centenario di Charlot (25-28 giugno) e la XXVIII edizione del festival Il Cinema Ritrovato (28 giugno – 5 luglio): proprio giovedì 25 giugno in Piazza Maggiore c'è il cine-concerto chapliniano con l’Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna diretta da Timothy Brock, mentre a inaugurare Il Cinema Ritrovato la sera di sabato 28 giugno è il nuovo restauro (promosso da The Film Foundation di Martin Scorsese e GUCCI) di un film di culto come Gioventù bruciata di Nicholas Ray, folgorante esordio di James Dean, protagonista di una vera e propria “trilogia del restauro” (realizzata da Warner Bros): dopo Gioventù bruciata (Rebel Without a Cause) verranno infatti presentate al festival le nuove edizioni dei suoi soli altri due film, La valle dell’Eden (East of Eden) di Elia Kazan e Il gigante (Giant) di George Stevens. Un omaggio a un’icona del cinema di tutti i tempi.
Dal 6 luglio al 14 agosto (con qualche giorno di pausa per permettere l’allestimento del concerto del 2 agosto) riprendono le proiezioni tutte le sere di Sotto le stelle del cinema.
Piazza Maggiore with its big screen and the programme of the Cineteca of Bologna will be the queen of summer for 50 nights of great cinema.
We will start on Friday 20 and we go on until 14 August, every night at 10 pm. Between June 25 and July 5 the Cineteca of Bologna and the Chaplin Association will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tramp, then the 28th edition of the Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival (28 June - 5 July).
On June 25 in Piazza Maggiore a live orchestral screening with the Orchestra of Teatro Comunale di Bologna conducted by Timothy Brock.
The new restored copy (sponsored by the Film Foundation of Martin Scorsese and GUCCI ) of Rebel Without a Cause, the cult movie by Nicholas Ray and James Dean's film debut open Il Cinema Ritrovato on June 28.
Dean will be the protagonist of a “trilogy of restoration" ( produced by Warner Bros), after Rebel Without a Cause other two films will be presented: the new editions of East of Eden by Elia Kazan and Giant by George Stevens.
A tribute to an evergreen movie icon.
From July 6 to August 14 the screenings of Sotto le stelle del cinema will start again, except for a few days for the setting of the concert on August 2nd.

In Fiera a Bologna, dal 6 al 8 giugno, arriva The JamBO l'evento più atteso dell'anno di street culture e urban style.
Tre giorni di appuntamenti imperdibili, dalle 14.00 a mezzanotte, con performance, esibizioni e contest con artisti e atleti di calibro internazionale, accomunati dall’essere freestyle, eclettici e creativi. Ogni giorno live music no stop con dj set e concerti di artisti. Tra gli ospiti:

BIOGRAFILM FESTIVAL 2014
6 > 16 giugno
Unico evento internazionale interamente dedicato alle biografie e ai racconti di vita. In dieci anni il Festival è diventato un punto di raccordo e di riferimento per storyteller e appassionati, e ha dedicato ampio spazio ai biopic e ai documentari, anticipando il crescente successo mondiale del cinema a tema biografico.
Jimi – All Is by My Side di John Ridley è il film d’apertura del Festival mentre è Frank, la nuova commedia con Michael Fassbender, a chiudere questa edizione che, per la prima volta, amplia il suo orizzonte e offre uno spazio molto maggiore al cinema di fiction, dedicando al genere biopic la neonata sezione Biografilm Europa, con i migliori film a tema biografico prodotti dai 28 paesi dell’Unione Europea.
Anche quest'anno il Bio Parco dei Giardini del Cavaticcio già a partire dal 30 maggio ospita concerti, spettacoli live, dj-set e incontri con i protagonisti di Biografilm Festival.

Biografilm Festival is the only international event entirely dedicated to biographies and life tales.
Over the past 10 years the festival has become a reference point for storytellers and enthusiasts, giving biopic and documentaries a particular attention and anticipating the ever growing world interest in the biographical cinema.
Jimi – All Is by My Side by John Ridley is the opening film of the Festival and Frank, the new comedy starring Michael Fassbender will close it, confirming the willingness of Biografilm to broaden its horizons by adding quality fiction and biopic to the best of international documentary cinema.
A new section Biografilm Europa with the best biopic movies produced within the 28 European Countries.
This year again Bio Parco (Cavaticcio Gardens) hosts live shows, dj-set, workshop for children and conversations with the protagonists of the festival from 30 May.
TREKKING URBANO 2014

Cosa rimane di un evento accaduto un secolo fa? L'eco di una tragedia mondiale riportata dagli annali di storia, i racconti dei sopravvissuti, i luoghi che ancora oggi ne testimoniano il passaggio, i cimeli... La lontananza temporale consente un approccio più distaccato e lieve, magari fatto camminando in piacevole compagnia ascoltando anche la voce di una guida che sa evocare tutto questo...Trekking Urbano 2014 ha per tema Ricordare e ripercorrere la nostra storia a cento anni dalla Grande Guerra e a Bologna proporremo percorsi collegati al tema nazionale soprattutto nella giornata del 31 ottobre. Ma la specificità di Trekking Urbano a Bologna è da sempre la sua proposta per l'intero week end: dunque anche sabato 1 e domenica 2 novembre ci saranno percorsi per tutti i gusti in città e provincia: dai trek più impegnativi per gambe allenate, a quelli più leggeri adatti anche a famiglie con bambini o in lingua per gli ospiti stranieri in città. URBAN TREKKING 2014

What remains of an event that happened a century ago? The echo of a world tragedy recorded in the annals, the stories of the survivors , the places that still bear witness of it , memorabilia ... The temporal distance allows a more detached and mild perspective, maybe while walking with a guide who knows how to evoke all this ... the theme of the 2014 Urban Trekking Days is Remembering and retrace our history a hundred years after the Great War and Bologna offers guided walking tours related to this topic especially on October 31.
But the Urban Trekking Days in Bologna are more than this: guided walking tours are held through the weekend until Sunday 2nd November.
There are tours to suit everybody, in the city and in the surroundings: from the most challenging ones for well trained hikers only to easier ones for families with children, and also some in foreign languages for our foreign guests. All tours are free.

ROCK IN IDRO 2014

Quest'anno è Bologna ad ospitare dal 30 maggio al 2 giugno la sesta edizione del festival rock unico nel panorama italiano, che si propone in una veste sempre più internazionale.
Un cast straordinario compone le quattro giornate del festival.
Venerdì 30 maggio è dedicato alla musica elettronica con il live set di FATBOY SLIM e tanti altri. Sabato 31 maggio è in scena il punk rock con, tra gli altri, THE POGUES, SKA-P, GOGOL BORDELLO e RUSSKAJA. Domenica 1 giugno si passa al metal, con il concerto dei leggendari IRON MAIDEN (unica data italiana della prossima estate) preceduti dall'esibizione di altri gruppi. A new format and a new city for Rock In Idro 2014. For its 6th edition the Italian rock festival moves to Bologna to Arena Joe Strummer – Parco Nord from May 30th to June 2nd.
Amazing performers for four nights of great music: Friday, May 30 is dedicated to electronic music with live sets by FATBOY SLIM and many others. Saturday, May 31 is the night of punk rock with THE POGUES, SKA-P, GOGOL BORDELLO, RUSSKAJA; on Sunday, June 1 metal music is on the stage, with the concert of the legendary IRON MAINDEN (only Italian date of their next summer tour).
Rock in Idro 2014 closes on Monday, June 2 with indie alternative of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE accompanied by PIXIES...
